My family moved to Brimpton in 1996 and we live in the house where Patricia’s parents used to live and from which we were married in 1973. I have been on the Parish Council since 2003 and am also chairman of Brimpton Recreation Ground. Outside the parish, I am chairman of Greenham Trust, a local charity that makes grants to good causes in and around Newbury. I am also chairman of a brewery and a director of several other businesses. I was High Sheriff of Berkshire in 2012/13 and am currently a Deputy Lieutenant for the county.

I moved to Brimpton in 2011 with my wife, Annette and this is my first time as a Parish Councillor. I have previously served as a governor for Tadley Primary School for several years while my children attended there. I'm actively involved with Brimpton Village Hall and am also involved with the Fete this year. I started my working life as an engineering apprentice in Malvern and moved into IT in the early 80's and moved to this area in 1985. I continued to work in IT until I retired in 2016. In my younger days I spent my spare time playing rugby as a prop forward as well as helping with Annette's horses and walking dog. After I stopped playing rugby due to a major injury I took up SCUBA diving which I still enjoy. I'm still very much involved with helping Annette with her horses, looking after the grandchildren and of course walking Toast, our rescue Greyhound.

I have also served as a governor of Brimpton School, helped organise the annual plant sale and the Open Gardens event and chaired the organising group for the Brimpton Fete. Before I retired I was a management consultant in the cultural and heritage sectors and previously worked as a director for the former Berkshire County Council. My spare time is mostly spent gardening and cooking when I have the energy, and reading when I haven't

We moved to the old Post Office in Brimpton in March 2019 and since then most of our time has been taken up with renovating! I started my home improvement business in 1992 and we are still going strong nearly 30 years later. I have lived in Tadley, Pamber Heath, Baughurst & Aldermaston Village But now very much enjoy Brimpton. My wife Wendy and I are keen skiers and sailors, also I used to play rugby for Aldermaston for around 20 years but now enjoy watching it (it’s less painful)

I joined Brimpton Parish Council as clerk in January 2018, having passed my CILCA (Certificate of Local Council Administration) in 2017.  I am also clerk for Aldermaston and Mortimer West End Parish Councils.  I live in Pamber Heath with my husband and 2 children who both attend the Hurst Community College.  Before having children, I worked for 10 years in the telecommunications industry.  I volunteer at Tadley Citizens Advice one morning a week and am also a befriender with North Hampshire Hospital.  Any spare time I have is mainly spent running or cycling in the local countryside. One of my proudest achievements was completing the London Marathon in 2017 and I would love to do it again one day.
