 Biography

My family moved to Brimpton in 1996 and we live in the house where Patricia’s parents used to live and from which we were married in 1973. I have been on the Parish Council since 2003 and am also chairman of Brimpton Recreation Ground. Outside the parish, I am chairman of Greenham Trust, a local charity that makes grants to good causes in and around Newbury. I am also chairman of a brewery and a director of several other businesses. I was High Sheriff of Berkshire in 2012/13 and am currently a Deputy Lieutenant for the county.

Biography

I moved to Brimpton in 2011 with my wife, Annette and this is my first time as a Parish Councillor. I have previously served as a governor for Tadley Primary School for several years while my children attended there. I'm actively involved with Brimpton Village Hall and am also involved with the Fete this year. I started my working life as an engineering apprentice in Malvern and moved into IT in the early 80's and moved to this area in 1985. I continued to work in IT until I retired in 2016. In my younger days I spent my spare time playing rugby as a prop forward as well as helping with Annette's horses and walking dog. After I stopped playing rugby due to a major injury I took up SCUBA diving which I still enjoy. I'm still very much involved with helping Annette with her horses, looking after the grandchildren and of course walking Toast, our rescue Greyhound.

Biography

We moved to the old Post Office in Brimpton in March 2019 and since then most of our time has been taken up with renovating! I started my home improvement business in 1992 and we are still going strong nearly 30 years later. I have lived in Tadley, Pamber Heath, Baughurst & Aldermaston Village But now very much enjoy Brimpton. My wife Wendy and I are keen skiers and sailors, also I used to play rugby for Aldermaston for around 20 years but now enjoy watching it (it’s less painful)
